Specific Kidney Support Feline FKW Cat Alutrays 7 x 100g

Manufacturer: Dechra

Specific Kidney Support Feline FKW Cat Alutrays provide essential support to the kidneys; offering a restricted amount of phosphorus, essential in preventing the onset of hypophosphatemia and slowing down the progression of kidney insufficiency.

The omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA also play a role in slowing down the progression of kidney failure. Particularly in cats suffering cardiac disease, these essential fatty acids can support maintenance of lean body mass, appetite and normal blood pressure.

A reduced sodium level helps to alleviate water retention, essential in feline liver and heart patients.

Specific Kidney Support Feline FKW Cat Alutrays also provides urinary tract support, offering a regulated level of protein, reducing the concentration of oxalate cytine and urate in the urine.

7 x 100g alutrays.

My cat thinks this brand is ok, he won't touch another leading brand and Royal Canine is his favourite so I rotate the Specific and Royal Canine. I find the smell and texture of this horrible, but as long as the cat eats it it doesn't matter

This is the 3rd brand of wet cat food I have tried for my boy Flixy. This is the 1st he's started eating straight away. Delighted. The food has a very soft texture, like pate. Hills science K/D pouches he just lapped up the gravy and the tinned food, most went in the bin as he rarely touched it. So fingers crossed I"ve found cat food that he will eat!

My 21 year old lady has thyroid problems and now has early stage kidney problems. I give her Royal Canin renal food anad thought I would try this for a change. Glad to say she loved it so will order more.

The only renal diet my fussy burmese will eat. Very glad to have found this.

Our 12 year old female cat has been on kidney diet food for over a year now and her health is good as a result. This is her favourite of the four varieties we rotate (she gets bored otherwise!).

I read the previous reviews which encouraged me to try for my 19year old "toothless" cat - as soon as it was put down she was interseted. the food is a very smooth pate type consistency which is firm and has a very good level of smell which is ultimately attractive to cats. Having previously tried Royal Canin and Hills, both of which required to be warmed in the microwave and then hav e dried food put on top and following her around the house for about 15 minutes encouraging her to eat which she did in about 5 sessions, this went down a treat with her and me! (I haven't tried it but can vouch for cats being attracted to it and eating it)....
