Royal Canin Hepatic Dry Food for Dogs is a complete and balanced veterinary diet for dogs to support their liver function in the case of Chronic Liver Insufficiency and for the reduction of copper in the liver.

Combining a patented blend of antioxidants and highly digestible vegetable proteins to protect cells and strengthen your dog’s natural defences, Royal Canin Hepatic Vet Diet is promoted for the following conditions:
Chronic Hepatitis, Portosystemic Shunt, Hepatic Encephalopathy and Copper Metabolism Disorders

Key Benefits:

  • Vegetable Protein: Highly digestible vegetable proteins are better tolerated in dogs with hepatic encephalopathy
  • Low Copper: A low copper with increased zinc content aims to minimise intracellular copper accumulation and thus hepatocellular injury
  • High Energy: Avoids protein catabolism and the loss of body condition common to hepatic patients
  • Antioxidant Complex: Helps neutralise free radicals and slow down hepatocyte deterioration

Rice, Maize, Animal Fats, Soya Protein Isolate, Hydrolysed Animal Proteins, Beet Pulp, Minerals, Soya Oil, Vegetable Fibres, Fish Oil, Fructo-Oligo-Saccharides (FOS), Marigold Extract (Source of Lutein)

Our vet warned us that our dog may not like the food specially designed for liver problems, but we decided to try Royal Canin. He LOVES it! He prefers it to the food he used to have, he didn't have any upset tummy problems and is doing well. Thank you, Royal Canin!
