Hills Prescription Diet LD Liver Care Dry Food for Adult Dogs is a complete and balanced diet for the management of dogs with liver disorders that cause reduced liver functions.

Made with highly digestible proteins, carbohydrates and fats to reduce the workload of the liver, Hills L/D will improve digestion and nutrient absorption, whilst replenishing essential nutrients that can be lost when a dog is suffering from liver disease.

Hills L/D Liver Care also contains high levels of the amino acid L-Carnitine, which helps to increase circulation, and metabolise fat to help counteract weight gain and increased fat build-up in the liver.

Key Benefits:

  • Highly Digestible Ingredients: Improves digestion and nutrient absorption
  • Essential Nutrients: Replenishes vital nutrients such as Zinc, Vitamin K and Potassium
  • Amino Acid: L-Carnitine helps to metabolise fat
  • Reduced Copper: Prevents an unhealthy build-up in the liver

One of my dogs, now 7 1/2 years old, was diagnosed to have the cancer of liver and liver cirrhosis in the end of last April. It was a very gloomy prognosis verified by biopsy. She was immediately put on Hills Prescription Liver Care and Denamarin pills. Today, 8 months later, she is as bright as a button, plays, runs and nobody looking at her would think she is terminally ill. I can only think that this diet and medication has helped her enormously. Our other dog who is 15 years old, showed signs of liver problems (blood tests) and she is now on the same diet, minus Denamarin. Both dogs love the dry food and the wet food. Their treats are the dry food kibbles, which we carry with us on walks.
