Feliway Refill Pheromone Vial contains the Feliway pheromone which is a safe solution of feline facial pheromone, which mimics the cat's natural pheromones, creating a state of comfort and calm.

When a cat feels safe in its environment it rubs the area between the side of its face and its chin against the furniture, corners of walls or the bottom of curtains, depositing facial pheromones.

Feliway is a synthetic form of these pheromones, helping to calm and soothe cats during stressful or anxious times, such as visits to the vet, moving house or the rearrangement of furniture, naturally conveying a message of safety and well-being. Each Feliway refil vial lasts about 4 weeks.

I have a male cat that was a stray until we took him in. He has a very volatile temperament and can be quite aggressive. He does not respond well to changes or disruptions in his environment and we had begun to despair. I bought a Feliway diffuser from VetUK and the difference was amazing. He became a much happier cat in a matter of only a few days. He feels more secure and is nowhere near as aggressive. His aggression is now that of a normal well adjusted cat (i.e. he gets grumpy every now and then but who desn't?). I can tell from his general behaviour, the way he walks with his tail high in the air, the way he relaxes and doesn't jump at every noise etc. That he is much more confident and I believe this is down to the Feliway. It isn't going to transplant your cat's personality, but it does help them to feel more confident, more secure and less afraid. It certainly works for our cat. He does not need it all of the time, but I try to use it when I know that there is a stressful situation coming up for him and it helps him to deal with it better. Definitely worth giving a go, but remember, it isn't a cure all, so it is also worth trying to ascertain what is making your cat nervous as a root cause as well as using the Feliway.

One of my cats became highly stressed last year due to changes in the neighbourhood. He developed cystitis, he overgroomed and excessively scratched at himself resulting in skin infections. He also started spraying in the house. We had many trips to the vets to treat the symptoms but I had to do something to prevent this from recurring as he is highly strung anyway. This is one of the products which my vet recommended but I didn't buy it from them as it was so expensive. Having used VetUK many times I knew I'd find it here at a much better price. My cat is now healthy, has ceased his stressed behaviour and is much calmer. Many thanks!

I bought this product after adopting two semi feral kittens. My older cat started spraying in house and within two days of plugging it in the spraying stopped. Have used it ever since and never had any more problems.

I didn't really believe this would work - but it does! My cat lets me know when it is time to plug in a refill. He is 20 years old and suffers from dementia which causes him to be very vocal, to say the least. My vet suggested I try Feliway and I'm glad I did. It really calms him down.

Didn't believe it could really make a difference but my rather neurotic Siamese boy would be impossible to live with without the plug-ins, I always know when a new refill is needed as his behaviour gets worse and then within a day of replacing the vial he starts to calm down again.
