So much better than the branded version. This is powder and I mix it into the small amount of wet food, which I then mix in with my dogs' kibble - and they eat it. They pick out the branded pellets from their food and leave them all over the floor :-(

An absolutely brilliant and effective product. My dog is unfortunately plagued with gastro problems with no rhyme nor reason. We’ve spent a fortune having to give her ProMax to settle her tummy/bowels whenever she’s had a bout. However, fingers crossed, since using this (literally 1 scoop per day) we haven’t had any upsets at all and perfect poohs 🙂 Thank you vet UK for an affordable and great product
Used to subtitute peridale granules. Which i can no longer source.Vetuks' probiotic fiber powder cleaned my 13 year old king charles diarrhoea quickyWould highly recommend to any dog ownersWhose dog is suffering from short-term diarrhoea
Hi, can you help me please. I have just started to use your probiotic fibre for my dogs.
I noticed this product includes oat bran. My dogs are fed on weight control food containing oats 55% brown rice, chicken meal, peas,
Seaweed and minerals.
1)Will this probiotic fibre still be ok to use despite them already having oats in their main meals.?
2)can you tell me the calories content per each spoonful please.?
I have four dogs, all of them have been on the weight reduction product As above for years. They do seem to love probiotic fibre.
And I would like to give a review when I have heard from you, many thanks. From lynnelicence@me.com

Disappointed with powder form, would prefer pellets as in other brands. Adding a spot of water makes a rather messy red liquid. The dog has no complaints with the taste though.

Really good value for money, VetUK brand is much better than other market brands, as its powder it is easier to mix in. My two fussy chiuahuas love it !! highly recommended!!

I have several pet dogs who, one after the other, decided to have diarrhea... not unwell, vet not needed, but this diarrhea kept doing the rounds. Tried this product, seriously, after 2 days, all my dogs are back to normal... I feel like rejoicing!! cannot rate this highly enough.

I’ve used the branded type as it works a treat and this looks to be as good but cheaper. The fact that it’s a powder isn’t a problem as I always put some warm water on their dry food anyway as it produces gravy thereby increases its palatability, and stops them eating as quickly. I don’t soak it, just put it on, give it a stir and put it straight down so it’s still crunchy for them. All my dogs love it this way!
superb stuff always try and keep this in shame about such short shelf like though :( and it always seems lately to out of stock gutted
This product is absolutely brilliant. I have an 8 year old Border Collie who would suffer nasty bouts of Colitis every so often (or when fed certain foods by well meaning friends) I must have started using this around 2 years ago, in that time he has not any flare ups at all.
I would highly recommend this product.

Excellent product. I have a young Border Collie who has always had a slightly poor digestion with soft, smelly poo and this product has really helped. I didn't originally plan to give it to my other dog (a Staffie) but it's helped him too as he is a scavenger and I've had less post-scavenge upsets since he's been having the powder.
As a powder it doesn't mix with dry food so it gets blown into their faces as they breathe when eating and left in the bottom of the bowl. But I mix it into a paste with water and this makes it much easier and more appealing to eat without noticeably affecting how well it works.
One tub lasts over 4 weeks (2 scoops per day) and is a lot cheaper than other brands. I'm ordering more and shall be recommending this product.
5 stars.

This is my third time buying this product. My 10 year old cocker spaniel seemed to regain a bit of energy & enthusiasm after taking this with his dinner for a few weeks. The product seems to have had a positive impact on his gastirc health too.

This product has helped keep my 12 year old CKC in good 'working order' I wasn't too keen on using this powder form at first as she has dry food but I always moisten it as it would stick in an animals throat or nose.
She is not a fussy eater so that helps

Have used the branded ProFibre pellets for a while now to help with my dog's anal gland issues. Was delighted to find an alterantive at a great price. Sadly this didn't work for us as, being powder rather than pellets, it just didn't mix in with her food at all. Great product VetUk - but please, make it a pellet like the branded one.

This product has been invaluable for my Collie/GSD, He has got Irritable Bowl Syndrome & has to have his Anal Glands sorted out on a regular basis. To be honest since using this item the IBS has calmed down &Thankfully now his glands do not have to be emptied half as much, which must be great for the Vet, Beau ( my dog ) and my bank account, his diet is Iams dry dog food ( I sprinkle 2 scoops of the powder on top in the morning ) & he has a small pot of live yoghurt every other day.

My Dally is 9 years old and has always been a 'sicky' dog no matter what food was fed (raw or top grade dry). She was always a little under weight and couldn't put weight on. This year she had terrible loud tummy sounds. I brought two of theses because of the reviews and well she is a different dog! No more loud tummy sounds no more excessive grass eating/vomiting and she has gained weight to what she should be. I would recommend this product to anyone!

Reordering this after using the first tub. Our JRT has spells of colitis type symptoms & we tried this supplement on advice from our vet. It has made all the difference, now he has only occasional upset probably caused by eating rubbish when out walking, why are dogs such dustbins? Will continue to use & is recommended.
I ordered this as I have been using the Protexin Pro-fibre for a few years and this seemed to be the same but cheaper. My only problem with it is that the Protexin is in pellet form and this is a dry powder. It seems to work as well as the Protexin but my dog doesn't find it as easy to eat as it doesn't mix into his food as well (he's a mini Dachshund so isn't on a huge amount of food to mix it in). I'm not sure I would order it again.

I'm really impressed with this, my dog was a rescue and has always had tummy problems, on our last visit the vet recommended trying a supplement to help her, this has certainly done the trick! I've seen a real change already, her poos are much firmer and she seems much happier in herself.

After previously using Protexin this stuff is not only cheaper but also just as effective!!! I've seen a real change in my dog since he's been on this and will be ordering it again when I run out, can't recommend it enough!
