Description

Noromectin Horse Wormer is a paste for horses is provided in a syringe containing 120mg of Ivermectin sufficient to worm a 700Kg horse.

Noromectin horse wormer is used for the treatment and control of adult and immature roundworms, lungworms and bots.

Noromectin 1.87% Oral Paste for Horses when used at the recommended dose rate of 200 mcg ivermectin per kg bodyweight, kills the adult and some larval stages of the following important internal parasites of horses:

Large strongyles (redworms).: adults and 4th larval (arterial) stages of Strongylus vulgaris, adults and tissue larval stages of S. edentatus and adults of S. equinus

Some horses carrying heavy infection of Onchocerca microfilariae have experienced oedema and pruritus following dosing, assumed to be the result of death of large numbers of microfilariae. These signs resolve within a few days but symptomatic treatment may be advisable. The plunger is marked in 100Kg divisions for accurate dosing.

It is important that you read the product datasheet before administering this product and that you use the product only as detailed within.

We all have a responsibility to use equine worming products appropriately. Many equine worm species are developing resistance to wormers due to frequent, untargeted use of these products. Ensuring wormers remain effective, by only using them when needed, is vital for the future health and wellbeing of our horses, ponies, and donkeys.

Before buying worming products, please reach out to your veterinary surgeon for advice, as they can create a targeted treatment program specific to your animal(s) and their environment. Screening before dosing is straightforward (using manure, saliva or in some cases, blood samples) and ensures you can worm your animal(s) effectively while also reducing the likelihood of resistant worms developing
