Zylkene 450mg capsules are a novel product, which helps manage stress in dogs.

Dogs cannot tell us how they are coping, but they can alter their behaviour. There are many different ways dogs can show stress including, posture changes such as crouching, dilated pupils, changed demeanour such as house soiling.

Changes in their environmental behaviour such as a changed resting place, reduced exploration or stopped visiting of a certain part of the house, changes in pattern of sleeping, habits such as excessive licking and grooming, reduced play, or a change in interaction with humans or other pets can all be examples of stress.

Large Dogs (15-30kg) - 1 Capsule per day
Large Dogs (30-60kg) - 2 Capsules per day

All behaviours may be increased or decreased.

Behaviour modification techniques and toys can also help your pet to deal with stress – ask your vet or behaviourist for further advice.

I used this when we first got Roxie as a very nervous rescue dog and it had some effect. I purchased again in advance of Halloween and fireworks together with an Adaptil diffuser. The difference this year was amazing. Very much calmer and less distressed. Previously following fireworks it was impossible to get her to come out for a walk for some days afterwards but this time she came out each morning without a problem.

Some calmer behaviour noted for my dog whilst I was in the house, still greeted me with as much anxiety when I got home. Definitely would work in conjunction with behaviour modification to enable the dog to be more open to therapy.
