Cat Eye Care

Before applying any eye medication, make sure that your pet’s eyelids are clear of discharge. Next, use your thumb and forefinger to open the eyelids. With your other hand, place the drops or ointment onto the eyeball or the pink tissue around the eye. It can be tricky, but try to bring the medication applicator up to your pet’s eye without letting the animal see it, and try to avoid touching the eyeball with the applicator. Allow your pet to blink, as this action will spread the medication over the entire eye.
