Description
Animalintex Poultice and Wound Dressing is an all purpose veterinary poultice and wound dressing used to support the management of a wide range of wounds and injuries.
Used hot, Animalintex helps increase blood flow to damaged tissue to draw out infection and encourage healing, while cold application helps reduce swelling and pain following strains or bruising. It can also be applied dry to clean open wounds, making it a versatile dressing suitable for routine and emergency use.
Key Benefits:
- Promotes faster healing
- Creates a moist, clean healing environment
- Can be used hot, cold or dry
- Suitable for a wide range of wounds and injuries
How to Use:
Hot Dressing: Cut the dressing to size and place in a shallow tray of boiling water, allowing it to cool to approximately 38°C before use. Once saturated, gently squeeze out excess water, apply to the affected area with the plastic backing away from the skin and secure with a bandage.
Cold Dressing: After soaking in boiled water, allow the dressing to cool thoroughly before applying, or chill in a refrigerator prior to use.
Dry Dressing: Apply directly to the affected area and secure with a bandage.
The poultice should be changed at least every 12 hours and always applied with the plastic backing away from the skin.
