To me this item appears grey in the photo, I don't know if the colour varies but the one that arrived today is definitely brown. The colour doesn't bother me at all however. It is well made, has enough filling to keep a small pet warm. The base also comes out and is washable, one side being a stripy fabric and the other side is like mock-sheep wool. I ordered the small size and it is perfect for a normal sized cat, or in my case, our house bunny, who hopped inside straight away! The price I feel is good for what it is.
