Hills ZD Prescription Low Allergen Diet Feline 2 Kg Dry is for the nutritional management of cats with food allergy and food intolerance.

Food allergy and intolerance are potentially serious problems that can result in sensitive or irritated skin, coat and ear conditions or even digestive problems. Cats, primarily dogs that have a food allergy or intolerance, also called adverse reactions to food, are typically having an abnormal response to the protein in the food.

Hills Z/D Low Allergen diet has been exclusively formulated with Hills Hydrolysed Protein System, a process that eliminates intact animal proteins and significantly reduces the possibility of an adverse reaction to food.

Reactions often occur as a result of ingesting beef, dairy products & wheat: Hills ZD Low Allergen eliminates these from the diets.

My cat suffered badly from colitis when just a kitten. The only food that he could tolerate - from both a sickness and from an enjoyment point of view - was Hill's Prescription z/d. He is now 14 - and still eating z/d, and whilst on that remains free from colitis symptoms. I would heartily recommend this to any other pet owners whose cats suffer from colitis.
