NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR VETERINARY ADVICE My kittens' ears were full of black grainy gunk that I recognised as an ear mite infestation. These ear drops are described as "based on pyrethrum, a natural insecticide grown in Kenya, which kills ear-mites"; the product "softens wax, soothes irritation and assists healing". I had been using the drops for a couple of days when I had to take the kittens to the vet for something else. When I did, it turns out that the infestation was much heavier than I thought and required prescription medication. The vet had a look at this product but said it wouldn't be effective in ridding the kittens of their ear mites. I am satisfied that this product was as advertised, and the price was very economical, but I should’ve consulted veterinary staff rather than assuming an over-the-counter product would eradicate the infestation. I'm grateful for the vet's advice and treatment!
It took several years, finally my cat is free of this problem. Very good, recommend.
Worked quickly on my dogs sore ear, but does smell a bit strong like hospitals.
