Granofen worming granules are a 22% granular formulation of fenbendazole as a ready to administer oral anthelmintic for dogs and cats. Each 1g of Granofen Wormer contains 0.22g of fenbendazole. Granofen is available in 1g, 2g and 4g sachets.

Granofen is used in adult dogs and cats infected with gastro-intestinal and respiratory nematodes and cestodes, treating immature and mature stages as well as having an ovicidal effect on nematode eggs. Can also be used for the treatment of pregnant bitches to reduce prenatal infections of Toxocara canis and the transfer to their pups via the milk.

Administer 1g Granofen Wormer for Dogs and Cats per 2.2kg(5lb) body weight as a single dose (100mg fenbendazole/kg bodyweight). The dose should be administered by mixing into the feed and repeated when natural reinfection with parasitic worms occur. Routine treatment of adult animals is advisable 2 to 4 times per year. More frequent treatment, at 6 to 8 weekly intervals is advisable for dogs in kennels.

Weaned puppies and kittens under six months of age require 1g Granofen Wormer per 4.4kg (10lb) bodyweight daily for 3 consecutive days mixed into the feed (50mg fenbendazole/kg bodyweight daily for 3 days).

Pregnant bitches require 1g Granofen Wormer per 8.8kg (20lb) bodyweight daily from day 40 of pregnancy continuously to 2 days post-whelping (approximately 25 days) (25mg fenbendazole/kg bodyweight daily).
