The pitch of the whistle is changed by loosening to tightening the screw attached to the lanyard. This meant that we ended-up losing the whistle very soon after purchase, because it had come loose and fell of somewhere. Poor design. A better whistle would be one where you can choose a specific pitch, and you can then buy that same pitched whistle if you happen to lose it.
