Cardiguard Omega 3 Heart Supplement is a high strength omega-3 fatty acid supplement specifically designed for dogs to support heart health.

Cardiguard is a very rich source or Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) and Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA), two of the most important fatty acids essential for heart health which is specially formulated with extra meat flavourings to enhance palatability.

Administration is easy – just spray onto your dogs food. Each pump stroke delivers 0.2ml and one bottle can last 215 pump strokes.

Recommended feeding amount: one pump per 2.5 kg of bodyweight per day.

Per gram, Cardiguard contains: Total omega-3 fatty acids (as triglycerides) = 780 mg EPA = 420 mg  DHA = 280 mg Other forms of omega-3 fatty acids= 80mg Alfa-tocopherol (vitamin E) = 10 mg.

Rating

Good quality oil, the manufactures have packaged the product well. The only problem is the price, why is it so expensive? It costs £16-£19 - depending which website you buy from. As far as I'm concerned there isn't that much more DHA_EPA in this compared to other oils......e.g. Seven seas cod liver oil, 2 table spoons of this provides; 736 mg of DHA and 828 mg of EPA and it only costs £6.00 for 300ml, from my local supermarket. Cod liver naturally contains vitamins A, D, E. You should be careful to administer the recommend dose, as to much vitamin A is not good, in other words don't give more then 1-2 table spoons a day.
