I have 4 of these beds in daily use, we wash them in the machine which has started to bunch up the filling now but then I have had them for years. I have tried lots of beds over the years but would not buy anything else. The dogs find them so comfortable which is the main thing and we have machine washed them all many times so they are easy to care for.
Although it says that it's washable, it's NOT machine washable - you have to wash it by hand! This means the whole bed, because it doesn't have a washable outer cover. This means putting the removable pad and/or the whole bed in the bath. It is therefore completely impractical as a dog bed - clearly the designers have never heard of mud. My dog shredded the bottom lining through scratching within a few days of getting it, whilst this doesn't detract from functionality, it doesn't seem to have been designed very well. Because you can't wash it, we have put a duvet on top of the bed, which works fine so long as she doesn't scratch it up. It doesn't look particularly durable - we've only had it about a month and it already looks worn. Definitely avoid this bed if your dog is a chewer - it'll be shredded to pieces within a few hours. It's impractical, poor quality, and therefore I wouldn't buy this bed again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
