Each disposable cartridge has been filled with litter crystals that will start to absorb moisture, dry out waste and lock away odours immediately after your cat uses it.
Using optical sensors, the litter tray begins a countdown when your cat leaves the tray. After this countdown, the rake will automatically move through the tray sweeping any dried out solids into the sealed waste trap. If your cat decides to use the tray again within the countdown period, the timer will simply reset and begin over.
