This is very popular with many species although the larger greenfinches and chaffinches find the mesh obstructive. You need to budget for very swift consumption of the food if you have a feeder like this - mine is emptied each day. No wastage, just very active feeding. The feeder construction is inadequate and frustrating though - perhaps not unexpectedly at this price point. The top ferrule is insecure and the hanging bracket comes off easily and is awkward to replace. Rubber grommets do not stay in place. The mesh bends easily. Buy one and the birds will reward you.
